The PS5 has not been launched as of now but there were many leaks about what the PS5 looks like.

What do you think of the designs? what do they look like? A futuristic tower? A spacecraft (with an unrealistically large control panel(controller) for some reason sorry! bad joke!).

Or a wifi router?

They also launched an array of products like the headphone and a remote and ….

PlayStation 5 Price

The PS5 price was not revealed during the June Games event and is likely to be wrapped up until its launch. The original PlayStation and PS2 launched at £ 299 / $ 299, the PS3 starting at £ 425 / $ 499 and the recent PS4 coming in at £ 350 / $ 399. It is widely believed that a price north of £ 400 / $ 400 is a recipe for trouble, but, as the technical envelope is pushed by the PS5, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Sony at risk.

The trade war between China and the US can also have an impact when it comes to manufacturing and shipping. Indeed, in June 2019, Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft issued a joint statement that such a price would go up if the trade war continues. Enjoy that at your leisure.

In fact, according to Bloomberg, Sony is having a lot of trouble keeping PS5 costs down. Blame the upcoming iPhone 12? Possibly. Sony is reportedly figuring out the cost of components such as DRAM and NAND flash memory, which are proving to be costly, due to smartphone manufacturers being ready for their own next-gen devices. The upshot is reportedly a build price of $ 450 (£ 350), and it will also fetch more tickets in retail.

The importance of SSD

One of the key selling points of the PS5 is the SSD. It is important to have a fast SSD so that the system doesn’t spend valuable time between processing to load new data from slow traditional hard disk drives. Sony makes it even better by introducing a very fast SSD. So fast that it is rumored that gaming companies are redesigning their game engines to take advantage of the high speed.

A fast SSD will enable larger open worlds and much lesser loading times.

A custom processor and GPU

We already knew that Sony would use AMD’s Zen2 CPU processor technology, which would have eight cores and 16 threads. However, the reveal stream revealed that the PS5 would deliver 3.5GHz frequencies – therefore, the PlayStation 5 would be running 8x Zen 2 cores at 3.5GHz (at variable frequencies) above the PS4’s 8x Jaguar core at 1.6GHz. This is a big jump in performance.

Proceed to the GPU, and you are looking at the AMD RDNA 2 GPU, which itself is optimized. It uses 36 compute units capped at 2.23GHz. A calculated performance peak of 10.28TF was called.

The PS5 dual sense controller

PS5’s controller had been named dual shock traditionally but they are calling it dual sense this time. Also the black and white color scheme used is bold

The two-tone PS5 controller color scheme extends to the four face buttons, which still include triangles, circles, squares, and crosses (or X), but are devoid of color. There is a pop of color around the central touchpad, as the PS4 lightbar is moved from the top of the gamepad on the PS4.

The PS5 controller includes haptic feedback in the L2 and R2 shoulder buttons that are going to be adaptive. Sony explains that these adaptive triggers are important for players to feel the stress of their actions, such as pulling a bow to wield arrows. This would allow developers to program the resistance of the triggers to take action more accurately.

The Dualicon will include a microphone inside the controller, allowing gamers to dig up their headsets to communicate with friends. And the ‘share’ button is dead. Stay on the ‘Create’ button for a long time. This is what Sony is calling the button that is in the same place and still has to share the gameplay content with the world. Sony is releasing more information about this button before the console launch.

Tempest 3D Audio Tech

Perhaps the biggest reveal of the PS5 Specs unveiling was 3D audio support, thanks to the new Tempest engine. It’s an incredibly powerful system: if the PSVR can support “50 pretty decent sound sources”, according to Cerny – with the PSVR’s separate audio system being one of the more complex audio systems in gaming at the moment – the PS5 The Temperary engine can support hundreds. .

The example Cerny used is described in terms of rainfall. Today, the sound of rain in a game is a single audio track, but the PS5 would theoretically enable you to hear individual raindrops, where the player’s character is.
